SIA Open House, Singapore Airlines, The Singapore Girl

Throwback SIA Open House SG 50

Singapore Airlines – A Company that needs no further introduction. An Employer that many would yearn to work for. A Brand that has won countless international awards and still counting. A Nation’s Icon that is unrivalled in every aspect in the aviation industry.

25 July was a day that would definitely etched in our minds. We had originally planned for Macy to revise her Maths test but at the eleventh hour, little did we realise we actually received a reminder email from SIA that we were invited for their Open House!!

Yes! The first time ever in 50 years. We wouldn’t know if they will be organizing another Open House again. It took SIA about 3 months just to prepare for this event. How can we miss this opportunity?!

Parking is not available. However, we could still hop onto the free shuttle bus service from Singapore EXPO to the Open House.

It was a blistering afternoon! The heat was scorching but it didn’t dampened M&Ms’ spirits! Look at them. They were donning the sporty national cap and waistband from Singapore Flag Pte Ltd.

We were greeted by many carnival stalls near the entrance.

The carnival stalls offered F&B, games and many others. M&Ms trying out a game of darts.

Performances were put up for visitors on the Concert Stage. The dancers danced extremely well! We can imagine the amount of time and hard work they put in to prepare for this Open House.

We walked further up towards the SIA Training Centre.

M&Ms originally wanted to join the art competition but we were bit late.

Our Guest of Honour: Senior Minster of State, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport, Mrs Josephine Teo was there she approached Macy. You can imagine how excited she was!

It was Mindy’s turn next. Mindy has no idea who she is going to see.

image

Mindy was almost overwhelmed when all the reporters and Mrs Josephine Teo swarmed up to talk to her!

Look at Mindy’s priceless expression!

Next, we carried on for the photoshoot. Props choosing.

I extremely love this part of our trip. We went for a 25 minutes Video Screening: Journey of Singapore Airlines.  The video was very touching. I must say it evoked patriotism in all the viewers. We are so proud of being Singaporeans. I bet you wouldn’t want to trade SIA for another airlines. Period.
