Now that Marine Cove is opened to public, it’s no surprise that throngs of people would pack the place especially during the weekends. We visited Marine Cove during the night and felt it was very much better to explore the playground during this timing. No scorching sun and best of all, with newly opened eateries there, it’s perfect family bonding time.
Babalicious, Simply Delicious
If you have patronised Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken rice stall (located at Marine Parade Hawker Centre), Babalicious restaurant should not come as a stranger to you. In fact, it is under the same management.
Babalicious is a family friendly restaurant that sells not only chicken rice but also variety of peranakan dishes too. Spaciousness is the theme of this restaurant.
Peranakan Dishes
Customers can use tablets to self-order.
A peek at the menu, we were quite surprised the prices look decent.
An order of half a chicken is $14.
Since we are patronising Babalicious, we also tried out their peranakan dishes.
Nonya Ngoh Hiang, 5-spice meat rolls. Simply delicious and non-spicy (suitable for kids).
Nonya Chap Chye. Mixed vegetables stir-fried and tossed with glass noodles in Nonya version.
Kids Corner
Families with young children would be happy to let their little ones play at this corner while they dine.
Next time you visit Marine Cove, you may like try out Babalicious. It’s a wallet-friendly restaurant!
How to get to Marine Cove:
Marine Cove is located at East Coast Park Area C and is accessible via East Coast Park Service Road. It is a 5-minute walk from the underpass linking Marine Terrace to car park C3.
The closest car parks are Car Park C3 and C2.
We just went to Marine Cove earlier this week and ate at Babalicious too. I thought the food was pretty decent and service was quite good even though they were very crowded. I loveeee their otak and sago gula melaka. I think I’d go back just to dine there again!

We will definitely try this restaurant when we visit Marine Cove. The food looks very tempting! Trying to stay away from the crowd for now.

I’m waiting for marine cove to be less crowded before heading there. But I doubt it will be for the short term eh haha. But the food looks good and I’m a fan of peranakan food so maybe we might just head there to eat.

ooo tough fight with the likes of food at Joo Chiat but hey, one right next to the playground? Sign me up for it! The bakwan kepeting does look good as does the ngoh hiang. Was there an ayam buah keluak on the menu? heheh
