Bintan has become one of our favourite destinations to travel with kids. We were pleasantly surprised as this was the first time stepping our foot onto this island which is just less than an hour ferry ride from Singapore.

The four-star Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay was opened in May 2015 offering 195-rooms that can certainly accommodate guests with all expectations. We could feel the lively and vibrant atmosphere the moment we arrived at the hotel.

We are going to stay in the Executive Suite that we heard is tastefully designed with guest-centric and functional features. Big and Small M were so excited that they can’t wait to explore the room!

Large Living Room

Think about it. Small may not be always good all the time. Imagine a family of 4 squeezing into a small hotel room with a lack of space to roam. Measuring a whopping 113 sqm, the Executive Suite offers a perfect respite for us after a long day of activities. The first sight that usually greets us is the bedroom whenever we checked into a hotel room. Not here. We were pleasantly WOW at the sight of a spacious living room when we entered. There was a moment of pause as we were trying to grasp for a right word to say.

The Executive Suite sports a concept of luxury living akin to staying in a private apartment. Contemporary mini-bar will always be in style. Whether you intend to have a cocktail, prepare hot beverage or whip up a good dish, there is an open concept kitchen for you to utilize.

Contemporary Dining Room

The kitchen space flows directly into the dining room. Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay understands that dining room is the cornerstone of the Executive Suite, reserved solely for feasting and entertaining.

A large dining table which sits up to 6 persons, elegantly designed chairs, fine dining serveware and cute potted plant cement the style of the dining room.

When hunger pangs strike, Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay offers in-house dining option with a wide range of delectable selections of authentic Indonesia cuisine that is sure to satisfy your tastebuds.

 We were impressed by Denny of his customer service and passion to do his job well!

Of all the memories we all hold on to, the ones we never learn to let go of are those of our family. A memorable stay at Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay is not complete without a family portrait. This is a perfect spot to spend quality time together.

Salmon steak with mushroom sauce and lemon butter served with sauteed mixed vegetables and potato wedges.

Nasi Goreng – Indonesian fried rice served with fried egg, prawn, satay chicken, shrimp crackers, sambal and pickles.

Gado Gado – Javanese salad with spinach, string bean, local tofu, bean sprout, white cabbage, boiled egg with peanut sauce and cracker.

Sop Buntut – Indonesian oxtail soup with local spices, carrot, potato and served with steamed rice and cracker.

Chicken wings – Deep fried marinated wings with spices

Strawberry Cheese Cake topped with butterscotch sauce.

Chocolate Molten – warm dark chocolate paired with vanilla ice cream.

Spacious Bedroom

The spacious bedroom comes with a king-sized bed and as there are 4 of us, Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay anticipated our needs and provided a small bed as well. Look at the little ones. They went wild at the sight and space of the bedroom and began exploring every single corner.

A quick glance around the Executive Suite and we observed there are many convenient spots for hotel guests to charge their electronic gadgets.

A good night’s sleep comes with comfortable bed and pillows. Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay is an over-achiever in this and we slept peacefully throughout our stay 🙂

In-room mini bar e-fridge is placed inside the bedroom. There is a convenience store at Lagoi Plaza located next to Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay for hotel guests to shop for beverages and essential items.

The Executive Suite has two beverage bar spots, one in the kitchen and another in the bedroom.

40-inch Smart TV with cable television and international satellite channels to indulge in.

Luxurious Bathroom

Find two words to describe Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay Executive Suite bathroom it has to be “high class” and “exclusive”. Literally. It is clearly spacious and comes with the sink at the vanity area. A large bathtub is sufficient for two adults to enter and may even transform into a small swimming pool for a toddler.

There is definitely a plus to have separate cubicles for the toilet and shower. Indulge in rain shower and enjoy a nice bathing session.

The bathroom amenities pack is just as amazing – body lotion, bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, shaver, comb and many more are complimentary.

If you are staying with a big family, you do not need to fret over queuing up for the toilet. It is a big plus to have another toilet in the living room area to use.

Balcony

Our Executive Suite came with two balconies with access from living room and dining room. As Swiss-Belhotel Lagoi Bay is centrally located and right smack beside Lagoi Plaza and beachfront, we were generously treated with beautiful sights of the skyline from the comfort of our suite. When the weekend comes, expect live band performances at Lagoi Plaza and be treated to the time of your life.
