Food Galore This Lunar New Year @ Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy

We were so blessed to have the opportunity to go for a hotel staycation at the start of 2016. What made it even more meaningful was the chance to stay at Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy. We simply loved this hotel to bits.

Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is nestled in the heart of historical Katong, a heritage area on the East Coast of the city rich in Peranakan culture. This iconic hotel is located just opposite Parkway Parade which makes it so prominent, convenient and accessible to everyone who wants to stay or dine here.

This hotel has four high quality restaurants & bar to dine in any occasion. I’m sure you will be spoiled for choice.

JIA WEI CHINESE RESTAURANT

Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant has recently launched a new menu that is helmed by their new Head Chef, Victor Lee. It mainly focuses on home cook dishes which are ideal for sharing among family members.

If you love dim sum, Jia Wei Chinese Restaurant is the right place for you to be. Yum Cha or best known as traditional Chinese High Tea, is available at Jia Wei daily from 11 am to 3 pm for dim sum lovers.

BREEZ BISTRO. BAR

Breez Bistro. Bar is located on Level 4 with a nice view of the refreshing swimming pool. Guests can choose to dine by the pool (outdoor) or in the comfort of the restaurant, lounge and bar (indoor). With the offer of local and international delights coupled with a wide selection of drinks, it is a perfect fit for guests to have lunch or dinner with family friends while enjoying the cozy ambience.

We were treated to an Executive Set Dinner.

This is more like Indian Oven-Baked Flat Bread which looks fluffy, fragrant and immensely satisfying. The size is really huge and we couldn’t resist them.

This is the appetizer – Seared Black Peppered Chicken Breast on the Bed of Romaine Lettuce.

Our favourite Soup of the Day – Mushroom Soup

This is what we have been waiting for. The main dish – Chargrilled Rib-Eye Steak served with Seasonal Vegetables and Baked Potato. The serving is definitely not stingy. The course was so filling that we could hardly finish the dessert 🙂

Last but not least, how can we resist the cake?

Big & Small M were full of praises for such a sumptuous dinner! We would like to thank the F&B Manager, Mr. Ronnie Kua, and the F&B Executive, Mr. Faran Shaikh, for their hospitality and exemplary customer service to make our dining experience extra memorable.
