Have you been to a farmers’ market in Singapore? We were deciding where to go and finally decided to explore a farmers’ market in the morning. Something unconventional for us. So off we go and find ourselves at Farmers’ Markets at Loewen Gardens.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Farmers’ Market is held from 9 am to 2 pm at The Pantry at Loewen Gardens once a month. This place is away from the hustle and bustle of city life and it’s suitable for those looking for a quiet venue to chill out with families and friends.
I love the idea behind this Farmers’ Market which is to “capture a piece of home”. Yes, we need this very much. Come and enjoy the simple pleasure of people dining, chatting about food and exploring different vendors (some are new start-ups).
WHAT ARE VENDORS OFFERING?
Here’s a glimpse of the vendors today. The interesting part of the Farmers’ Market is that every time you come, there may be new vendors selling different products. So expect pleasant surprises. You may find some gems along the way.

The stalls are set-up inside tentages. It was drizzling when we arrived and we were glad for this set-up.
How can we not fall in love with German sausages? Kaiserwurst.SG is a new start-up that sells premium german/franconian bratwurst.
We tried and were impressed.
Another new start-up, Teathos. It is selling Organic matcha based products that is pure, aromatic and good for your insides.
Overall, I think it’s worth a trip here to check out though the prices of some products are higher than what you are paying outside.
