Pulau Ubin

A Visit to Pulau Ubin

We made an impromptu trip to Pulau Ubin on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago. Pulau Ubin is an island off eastern Singapore and often considered the last ‘kampung’ (village) in Singapore. A stroll through Ubin takes you back to Singapore in the 1960’s with the simpler pleasures of life. The slow lane starts as soon as you join the queue for the bumboat at Changi. It was actually raining cats and dogs on that morning. When we arrived there, it was still drizzling. A Visit to Kulai

I visited Kulai with my parents this week. Before the trip, I made a quick google to find out if there are anything special to explore. Only a distance of within 45 km from Singapore, Kulai seems to be a good fit for a one-day exploration. Continue reading “A Visit to Kulai”

Gold Coast | Brisbane Journal – Part 6

God has been good to us throughout this trip. As we entered into our final day in Surfers Paradise, our itinerary was still very packed. We wanted to experience the life of Australians and get involved in their normal activities during the weekend. Something inexpensive and yet meaningful. We found ourselves visiting 2 weekend markets, beaches and a playground. Continue reading “Gold Coast | Brisbane Journal – Part 6”

Gold Coast | Brisbane Journal – Part 5

Hello, hope you have enjoyed our last few blogs. We have read blogs to get ideas in planning our itinerary. However, the next attraction we were to visit was not featured in any of the blogs we came across. This place is called Tropical Fruit World. We wanted to visit fruit farms but some of them were not opened due to severe weather conditions. We were blessed to discover this. Continue reading “Gold Coast | Brisbane Journal – Part 5”

We researched and found the biggest playground in Brisbane – Calamvale District Park.
The Playground at Calamvale District Park is a lovely manicured park made up of a range of different play equipment designed to suit Brisbane Kids of a range of ages and abilities. We also love the dual flying foxes that are perfect for challenging the more timid Brisbane Kids in a safe and fun way. It has BBQ’s and seating and plenty of shade. There are also lots of connecting bike baths and various spinning play pieces to bring about hours of amusement. That said, the reason that Calamvale Park is becoming so well-known must be its GIANT enclosed slide, which lives up to its name both in size and fun!
