A Memorable 7th Tag Team Birthday Party

A little busy. Yet extra special. This sums up our exciting week!

This week 27 Aug 2016 it’s Lil M’s seventh birthday party and we are so excited to be sharing it with you.

Birthdays are not always a big celebration in our family. For our girls, one big birthday party during Kindergarten(K1/K2) & another big one in Primary 1. Alright, at least for now. We want our girls to look back on the photos and remember those special moments. This year Lil M wanted her birthday party to be held at a location where it’s big enough to invite her whole class, kindy friends (whom she missed), school mates…(Omg!) and she is able to Run with her friends, play/challenge and it’s not ‘babylish’.  We scouted the whole of east area, literally looking high and low for a venue that is fun for both boys and girls (inviting the whole class, party cannot be too girly) and narrowed on Tag Team@ECP.

When Lil M heard her birthday will be held at the popular Tag Team at ECP Parkland Green, she literally went wild and was counting down to the party every day.

The Location, super convenient! If you are familiar with Marine Parade area, the nearest underpass is just beside NTUC supermarket and a stone’s throw from Parkway Parade shopping mall. Walk through the underpass, you will see Cheers on the right, Tag Team ECP Parkland Green is just one shop away from it.

Payment, fast & easy! Once we confirmed the details of our party package, (no. of paxs / duration etc) we paid thru inter-bank GIRO to Tag Team.

Wow, our first batch of party kids are here to challenge, have fun, play, and strategize teamwork. Bonding Time! ( Btw, I really like the balloons done up by Big M & Lil M=)

A few concerned parents have asked me what is Laser Tag game, is it paint ball that will dirty the kids’ clothing? Safe for kids? The lists goes on..

How to Play Laser Tag?

Laser Tag seeks to let players connect, engage and have fun in a safe environment. Players attempt to score points by shooting infrared-sensitive targets, typically with a hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. It uses the same infrared technology used in remote controls, making it a safe and harmless sport suitable for all ages.

There are 2 play arenas – Mystery Room (air-conditioned) and Battle Zone (non air-conditioned). Although the Battle Zone is non air-conditioned, it is SPACIOUS, well ventilated and recommended if there are many kids and you need a much bigger space for running.

Kids were so attentive! Listening to our Tag Team personnel Jason. 🙂

Look at their faces, priceless…

Jason and his team were very passionate and organised, they first group the kids into two teams, and conducted a briefing on the dos and don’t (i.e. no pushing, waving the laser guns dangerously etc) and the rules of the game. Each game lasts for 15 minutes,  each team will have a different laser beam colour code, where kids, holding their laser guns, would attempt to destroy the other team. The laser gun tracks how many shots have been fired and when you runs out of bullet, just head back to the base to recharge. Simple as that!

All ready for the mission to start! 🙂

Even little friends as young as 5 years old had no problem challenging the mission.

Kids learnt about working together in teams. Teamwork rocks!

Chiong ah.. Let’s do this together, one for all, all for one!

Big ‘bunkers’ for the kids to ambush each other, hide and run through…

The computers linked to the guns will help the teams keep score, Fastest fingers WINS! Wahahaha…

The kids literally let their hair down during the game.

There’s always at least 2 dedicated Tag Team personnel with the kids, which i think is really good.

Everyone can play..

From their faces, you can see that the kids had lots of FUN!

Large open spaces and greenery, kids will NEVER run out of things to do.

Birthday Theme

We decided to hold the birthday party at Tag Team as they do not have any restrictions on catering party food. We have all the liberty to cater our own party food, ample corridor space to set up a buffet line the way we want. With ample park benches and sitting spaces, we are assured that friends can sit close and mingle with one another.

We wanted our invited guests to whet their appetite by preparing a variety of gourmet selection ranging from delectable cream puffs, mini chocolate eclairs, assorted pastry delights, rainbow chocolate donuts, fresh sandwiches to local favorites such as sushi, fish balls, tasty chicken franks and golden nuggets.

Well liked by our party guests, Chefybakehouse Handmade Chocolate cookies(not too sweet) and Almond cookies(slightly savoury and full of flavor) with personalized labels.

By the time the kids completed their rounds of laser tag games, it was not surprising that they were sweating a lot. The weather can get hot in the afternoon and all we need was refreshing drinks to cool ourselves down. We were glad that Tag Team was very accommodating to chill our Mogu Mogu bottled drinks before the birthday party so that our guests could quench their thirst with cold beverages.

Our birthday girl had the privilege to choose her birthday cake and she picked a beautiful ‘Shopkins’ 3.5 kg chocolate truffle with crunchy pearls(first time she choose a chocolate cake, as her classmates C & K requested it).

We had a memorable birthday party and all the kids enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Thanks to the morning rain, the sky was cleared and there was no visible haze. We knew we had made the right choice to hold Mindy’s 7th birthday party at Tag Team ECP.

Our weeks of tireless preparation were finally distilled into this special moment for our birthday girl.

On your 7th birthday, we hope you will experience more of God’s agape love, grace, peace and joy. Be highly favored and bountifully blessed, never stop to help someone along the way. Always remember how much you are loved. -Papa, Mama, Jiejie.

All these would not be possible without the participation of the lovely parents and their kids. We just can’t thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts.
